Rest Rooms are available at Boolarra and Mirboo North. Picnic facilities are available at Boolarra, Darlimurla and Mirboo North and at various places along the trail.
Mirboo North is located 160 km, and two hours, from Melbourne, and can be reached by following the Princes Highway to Morwell, and then taking the Strzelecki Highway to Mirboo North. An alternative, more scenic, route is along the South Gippsland Highway to Leongatha, and then north along the Strzelecki Highway to Mirboo North.
Boolarra is 180 km, and two hours, from Melbourne. It also can be reached by following the Princes Highway to Morwell, then taking Monash Way through Churchill to Boolarra.
